It has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. In addition to the characteristic taste of green peduncle, the raspberry, strawberry, dried rose and blueberry juice are immediately noticeable. In a second tasting, woody traits of resin and soil and spicy and balsamic traits, in particular of black pepper and camphor, can be distinguished. The palate is rich, broad and balanced, with a slight tendency towards sweetness and a dense tannic texture well embroidered in the structure. In the long finish, notes of almond stand out.

Croatina grape blend.
This wine contains allergens, sulfites.
The Estate

Known in our territory as Bonarda di Cisterna d’Asti, Croatina has been present in Cisterna d’Asti since the dawn of time: its cultivation has been documented here for 200 years. In some vineyards, ungrafted Croatina strains almost a hundred years old are still visible.

Wine Making

Santa Lucrezia is obtained from the first Povero family vineyards to receive organic certification in 1998. In the terroir between Cisterna d’Asti and Canale d’Alba, Croatina has found its ideal habitat.

Food Suggestions

Pairs well with cooked salami, roast white meats, agnolotti with ragù, einkorn spelled soup.
