The 2020 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon features a vibrant mélange of black cherry, black currants, cedar, and dried violets. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a distinct silkiness throughout, plus a touch of minerality that adds freshness and depth. There’s a sense of grace and liveliness to this wine. The finish is laser focused with refined length and whispers hints of dark chocolate and blackberry.

The Estate

Nestled in famous Napa Valley, our family has been growing winegrapes on our historic St. Helena vineyard since 1932. Originally planted in 1860 by Dr. George Crane, three generations of the Salvestrin Family have meticulously and sustainably farmed this 26 acre vineyard for 81 harvests. Being sensitive to the environment and the surrounding community by following organic guidelines, we consistently create handcrafted wines that are fruit forward, elegant, balanced and memorably world class.

Wine Making

We farm these grapes ourselves to ensure maximum quality is achieved and maintained throughout the growing and winemaking process. Aged for 21 months in 25% New French Oak.

Food Suggestions

Pairs well with beef, lamb, deer, venison, mature and hard cheese, and poultry dishes.

Wine Spectator – 93

"This is chockablock with winey dark currant and juicy plum pâte de fruit notes, laced with hints of licorice root, tar and roasted apple wood. Offers ample structure, but it's racy and well-embedded in the fruit. Really vibrant throughout. Best from 2023."

James Suckling – 92

"Polished nose of cherries, blackberries, raspberries, sweet tobacco, walnuts and dried leaves. Full-bodied with firm, fine tannins. Structured and firm."

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate – 91

"Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley gives up notes of violets, cedar chest and vanilla pod over a core of crème de cassis and plum preserves. Medium to full-bodied and packed with juicy black fruits, it has a velvety texture and minty lift on the long finish."
