Well-integrated tannins open on the mid-palate preceding notes of vanilla creme and American sponge cake with a lengthy, velvety finish of drink dark fruit. This wine is an impressive pairing to beef, tenderloin, baked rigatoni, and hearty vegetable stews.
Hailing from the Aude, a department in the Languedoc-Roussillon of south-central France. It’s a region that is influenced by both the gentle warm Mediterranean climate and the cool mountain winds, often producing a huge swing between warm daytime temperatures and chilly nights. This distinct microclimate allows the grapes to ripen slowly, producing fresh and balanced wines.
Four Stars is built on California soil and our winemakers are rooted in soulful Italian tradition. Dario De Conti and Stefano Migotto grew up in Italy, where community comes together around the table. They brought this tradition to California with all the fiery passion you’d expect from two Italians with over 50 years of combined experience.
