Deep ruby color. The nose has aromas of ripe red fruit. Medium to full-bodied, the wine has a wonderful texture in the mouth with smooth tannins wrapped around fleshy red fruits. Nicely balanced acidity with an elegant finish. Drink now and up to 10 years from the vintage date.

86% Grenache, 8% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre, & 1% Cinsault grape blend.

The Estate

Located in Orange, the gateway to Provence, next to the famous village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, summer residence of the Popes in the past, the “Domaine des Chanssaud” has been existing since 1826.

Wine Making

A third of the production of Châteauneuf du Pape red pass an aging year in casks. Then the wines, assembled, are bottled at the winery by a specialized company which guarantees quality and hygiene, and allowing precise control of operations. Bottles packed in boxes are then stored in an air-conditioned room where they remain until age marketing.
