When you pour the Contrade Negroamaro into the glass, you will notice the inky, dark velvet red color.  The wine pours forth with plush, saturated aromas of cherry liqueur, red currant, blueberry preserves, licorice, lavender and an earthy spice blend.  It will pleasantly fill your palate the palate with lush red berry fruits, visceral mouthfeel and smooth soft tannins.

The Estate

The Salento wine region is located in the southern part of Apulia, which is known as Italy’s heel of the boot.  This area, located between the Adriatic and Ionian sea, is the home of the Falvo families Masseria Li Veli winery, one of Barriques favorite Italian estates.

Wine Making

Grapes are hand-picked and collected in small cases Vinification consisted of thermo-controlled maceration for about 10 days, followed by the alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts.
