Luminous ruby color. Forest berries, spices, leather, moist earth and dried plum, layered in the aroma. Soft, round taste, well-balanced acidity and clean and persistent aftertaste. Very pleasing, and ready to drink.

The Estate

Today, the Badia a Coltibuono estate in the Chianti Classico commune of Gaiole in Chianti is led by the fifth generation of family members: Emanuela, Paolo, and Roberto Stucchi Prinetti. There are 150 acres of vineyards on the property, along with another 50 acres of olive trees. This being Chianti Classico, Sangiovese is naturally the most important grape variety planted.

Wine Making

Chianti is nestled within the larger wine region of Tuscany, an area that conjures up thoughts of rolling green hills and picturesque Roman ruins. This area is famous for Sangiovese, and Chianti is one of the most productive hotspots for the grape, producing a lovely wines with tart and fresh flavors of cherry, strawberries, and red plums.
