Chateau Toulifaut belongs to the Bareige family since the early 1970’s. Christelle, the elder daughter, is now running the estate. The chateau is situated in front of Chateau La Tour Figeac, on the other side of the river which between Pomerol and Saint-Emilion grand cru. It is a small plot of only 2 hectares, sandy and gravelly, underpinned by a fine layer of iron, which gives this wine a garnet color, with an aroma of red fruits. Aged for 5 months in stainless steel vats then 14-16 months in oak barrels, 50 of which are new each year and 50% are used.
