Technical Details
Attributes

Direct, with cherry compote and plum notes, blackcurrant and plum notes, this medium-bodied red wine from France’s Bordeaux region has a plush mouthfeel and subtle yet elegant structure.

The Estate

Maison Francois Janoueix. The Janoueix family moved from a small village (Correze) to Bordeaux in 1898. Initially established in Margaux, the families business has since moved to Libourne, near Saint Emilion, with an office overlooking the banks of the Dordonne River.

Wine Making

Harvested by machine and aged in 80% new barrels and 20% used barrels.

Food Suggestions

Pairs well with herbed buttered chicken thighs with couscous and roasted vegetables. Works well with mature cheese, white meats; good with pasta in many varied ways.
