Attributes

The wine is a crimson-hued garnet red. Elegant and refined, the nose exudes floral aromas, going on with airing to develop notes of blackcurrant and licorice root. The full and smooth attack reveals an alluring and complex array of flavors in which ripe fruit is magnificently set off by notes of toasted cereals and violet. The mid-palate is underpinned by high-quality close-knit and creamy tannins, leading into a saline and slightly minty finish which lingers on hints of chocolates.

72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, & 2% Petit Verdot grape blend.
This wine contains allergens, sulfites.
The Estate

A legendary terroir, prestigious neighbors, a providential encounter: the history and the success of Château Clerc Milon are summed up in these three words. The terroir is that of Pauillac, where some of the world’s finest wines are made. The neighbors are Mouton and Lafite, illustrious First Growths whose nearby vines can be seen from the terrace of the Château. The encounter was with Baron Philippe, who in 1970 acquired the then badly neglected estate and decided to restore it to its status as a Classified Growth.

Wine Making

The vine density is the same as what is planted at neighboring Chateau Mouton Rothschild with 10,000 vines per hectare. All work in their vineyard is done using only, 100% biodynamic farming and sustainable vineyard management techniques.

Food Suggestions

Pairs well with beef, lamb, deer, venison, and poultry dishes.
