Nose of strawberry and ripe bing cherry abound in the wonderful and fresh Rose Cava. Bottle fermented to retain a fine bead yet balanced with ripe red fruit flavors and a richness that only Pinot Noir can impart.

The Estate

Sogas Mascaró, the producer of this high-quality sparkling wine, began its activity in 1910 in Vilafranca del Penedès. Although initially focused exclusively on exporting still wines from that one area, it only took a few years before they started to develop wines and cavas sourced from a variety of vines planted around La Masia Fontallada.

Wine Making

This family-owned historic 18th century home is located in the heart of the Alt Penedès wine-growing region. The property houses 15 hectares of vines, where only the native varieties of the area – Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada – can be found.

Food Suggestions

Pairs well with shellfish, appetizers and snacks, lean fish, aperitif, and cured meat.

Wine Spectator – 84

Subtle aromas of squash and pumpkin open this brut rosé. A basic but honest palate displays good balance and health. Burnt orange and pink-grapefruit flavors finish steady, mild and reflective of a good but regular Pinot Noir-based Cava
