Kellerei St Paul

About Kellerei St Paul

The St. Pauls cooperative winery is located in the village of St. Pauls (San Paolo), a hamlet of Eppan an der Weinstraße, (Appiano sulla Strada del Vino in Italian or “Eppan on the Wine Trail”), a commune located about eight kilometers southwest of Bozen (Bolzano) in South Tyrol (Alto Adige). With roughly 150 grower members, the cooperative covers 175 hectares planted to vine, with an average of one hectare per grower, making it a true “family affair” since all of the members are family-owned and run farms. With vineyard sites that range from 500-700 meters a.s.l. and a variety of subsoils mostly volcanic and morainic in origin, the cooperative is uniquely positioned to make some of the best and most critically acclaimed wines in South Tyrol.
