Château Ramage la Batisse

About Château Ramage la Batisse

Located in the heart of the Médoc in the town of Saint-Sauveur, near Pauillac and its famous Crus Classés (Château Latour, Lafite Rothschild and Mouton Rothschild). One of the best terroirs of the Médoc. 85 hectares: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot. Followed by Georges Pauli, famous world-famous winemaker. Promoted to Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in the last official 2003 classification of Crus Bourgeois du Médoc. This property, formerly made up of scattered plots from the former properties of Ramage, La Bâtisse and Tourteran, is now all in one piece. In the center of the property stands an 18th-century charterhouse. The MACIF mutual insurance company, owner since 1986, has made significant efforts to improve and maintain the vineyard as well as the vat room and cellars while respecting the Bordeaux tradition.
